Edward Unimashi Agba
Computer Science applicant, NCE holder, and self-directed web developer based in Nigeria.
Professional biography
I am Edward Unimashi Agba, a Nigerian student and web developer preparing to study Computer Science at undergraduate level abroad. In August 2020 I was awarded the Nigeria Certificate in Education by Federal College of Education, Obudu, where Computer Science was my strongest subject, awarded at Merit alongside Merit results in Teaching Practice and General Studies, and Pass results in Biology and Education.
My interest in computing is practical as well as academic. Alongside my studies I taught myself web development and now build websites under the name Kings Night Web Solutions. My work covers website design and development, responsive layouts, on-page SEO, landing pages, and lead generation for small businesses. A representative example is Kings Night Plumbing, a service business website built to present services clearly and turn visitors into enquiries.
Working directly with clients has shaped how I think about computing. It has taught me to plan before building, to test on real devices, to write code that someone else can maintain, and to treat performance, accessibility, and data protection as part of the job rather than an afterthought. These are the habits I want to develop further through formal study.
Academically, my priority is Computer Science, with closely related interests in software engineering, information technology, cybersecurity, data science, and bioinformatics — the last connecting my computing work to the biology I studied during the NCE programme. I am currently researching undergraduate and foundation routes in the United Kingdom, the United States, Australia, and Switzerland, and preparing the documents and statements those applications require.
Scholarship funding is central to these plans, and I am approaching the process carefully and honestly: strengthening my academic record, keeping my portfolio active and current, and documenting each stage of preparation openly on this site. My longer term goal is to become a well-trained software engineer who can build reliable, secure digital products and contribute technical skills back to my community.
